For those who didn't know...the St Louis Arch was fabricated and built in Warren, PA at PDM (Pittsburgh-Des Moines) and it was shipped by rail to St Louis in 8' tri-angular sections.
This is just one of the Many pictures I took from atop of the St Louis Arch. You can get some pretty amazing pictures from 630 feet in the air. I have more that I will post later
Well while i was in the hospital my new lens came in the mail. its a 70-300...its pretty nice....so i will hopefully have some spare time to take some pictures....
It's weird what you find in your backyard. These pictures were taken at a now closed ammunitions factory. Located in the corn fields of Indiana, Kingsbury Ordinance Plant which produced shells, cartridges and mortar rounds for World War II and the Korean conflict. After the closure of the facility, portions were sold off to commercial land owners which lease the buildings to businesses. The land was deeded to the state of Indiana in 1965 by the federal General Services Administration, and wildlife management began at that time. Now known primarily as the Kingsbury Fish and Wildlife Area. Offering wetland trapping, fishing, hunting and a shooting range, its a great location with acres of land to explore. I hope you enjoy these as much as I had taking them
For this week you may REDO any of the previous weeks, if you had an idea that you didn't get to do or if there was a week you think you could do better, now is your chance. Lets see what ya got!
What happened to this place? Why have we stopped posting? I honestly enjoyed doing weekly assignments and getting feed back from those who know more about this art than i do. Can we please get this going again?
After last weeks huge success... I was about to quit posting new assignments. But after enough people called and wrote in I started to feel like a FOX television show and decided to post a new homework. They only difference being unlike Seth MacFarlane I'm not getting and additional 100 Million dollars to keep going. Sure he has to give half away in taxes, but that still leaves 50 Million... and THATS a lot of hookers!
If you've lasted this long through the post then you'll be delighted to know that this weeks (short) homework assignment is emPhasis.
More after the break and be sure to scroll down to watch the video!
