It's weird what you find in your backyard. These pictures were taken at a now closed ammunitions factory. Located in the corn fields of Indiana, Kingsbury Ordinance Plant which produced shells, cartridges and mortar rounds for World War II and the Korean conflict.
After the closure of the facility, portions were sold off to commercial land owners which lease the buildings to businesses. The land was deeded to the state of Indiana in 1965 by the federal General Services Administration, and wildlife management began at that time. Now known primarily as the Kingsbury Fish and Wildlife Area. Offering wetland trapping, fishing, hunting and a shooting range, its a great location with acres of land to explore. I hope you enjoy these as much as I had taking them
